Robotic welding is a production technology in which an industrial robot arm guides a welding torch along a pre-programmed path with high precision. In Formlaser's robotic welding cells, MIG/MAG, TIG and spot welding applications are carried out with excellent repeatability and accuracy.
Our systems consist of a welding power source, wire feed unit, positioners that bring the workpiece into the optimal welding position, and a central control unit. Our modern robots use touch sensing to automatically detect the part's position before welding begins, and seam tracking to correct deviations along the weld path in real time.
